How to mentally create a solid foundation.


1. THE WHY

Why do I want this? Why do I care enough to put effort here?

2. THE WHO

Who am I doing this for? Who will this benefit? Who is impacted if I don’t do this?

3. THE FEEL GOOD

How does this feel to me right now? Move away from “should”-driven intentions and lean into what truly feels good to you to focus on at this time.

Some tips to help you get started:

Just start somewhere.

Beware of pressures to pick the right intentions first that may be holding you back from just starting. Whatever intentions you have is a great place to start.

There are no right or wrong answers.

Perfectionism that may be creating pressure to have to get this practice “right” as if there is only one right way to do it. Trust your intuition to guide you and let your answers come through as they do.

Lean into curiosity and ease. Perhaps you’re used to a life of fear and difficulty. My invitation is to now explore what it’s like when you let curiosity and ease lead the way. Because you are so deserving already of such a life.

Put your intentions somewhere visible to you. Write it on a poster or post-it and place it somewhere within your frequent view such as your mirror or desktop or fridge. Read it aloud every time you see it. Remember the foundation you built for this intention. Envision your intention already real.
